Among the organizers were; Henry Grice, John Grice, Benson West, John McFadden, Phillip Rhonemus, Benjamin Elliott, I. N. McVey, John Young, and Stephen Criswell. The congregation later worshiped at Union Chapel located at 80 Larrick Road west of the late Bill and Mary Louise Leslie residence. In 1957, the Lees Creek Congregational Christian Church voted to become a member in the new denomination of the United Church of Christ formed by the merger of the Congregational Christian Church and the Evangelical and Reformed Church. Many changes and improvements have been made through the years. We are still the little white church in down town Lees Creek.
